Expressing his excitement about the event, Adriel stated, “Flavas Restaurant and bar is the place and now we are hosting a collaboration. I have contacted most of my Georgetown colleague spoken word artists, and we are about to make this is not the first of it but it will be a moment.”

Adriel believes in the power of art and poetry to evoke emotions and spark conversations.

He expressed, “The thing about the arts is that they work in a mutualistic relationship. For example, when I am writing and music playing is some of my best music, so I think it’s going to be quite an experience because you are listening to the words and you are painting imagery. It will create a very intricate synchronization of the arts and a wonderful experience for anybody who is there.”

Through his spoken-word performances, Adriel aims to challenge stereotypes and inspire others to embrace their individuality.

Attendees will be provided with canvases, paintbrushes, and paints, along with Rodriguez’s stirring spoken word performances, guiding them through an exploration of emotions and themes.

The event, a collaboration among Roderick Allicock, Adriel Thompson, and Flavas Restaurant and Bar, promises to be an unforgettable evening celebrating art, expression, and community.
