A single mother of three from Fort Ordinance, Berbice, is the latest beneficiary of the Men on Mission (MoM) initiative, receiving the keys to a newly constructed home on Sunday.
The house was handed over by Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide improved living conditions for vulnerable citizens.
The Men on Mission initiative, launched under the leadership of President Irfaan Ali, has facilitated the construction of several homes for disadvantaged families across the country.
Minister Mustapha highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting single parents and other at-risk individuals through similar projects.
The construction and furnishing of the home were made possible through the contributions of SAWA and Gaiko, two companies that partnered with the initiative to ease the financial burden on families in need.
Minister Mustapha acknowledged their support, emphasizing the importance of public-private collaboration in assisting vulnerable communities.
The Men on Mission program continues to provide housing and other essential resources to those in need, demonstrating a nationwide effort to improve the quality of life for many Guyanese families.
