A single mother of three, Anisa Deoraj, has received a new home built by the Men on Mission organization in Meten-Meer-Zorg, East Bank Essequibo.

The 28-year-old mother had previously been living in the North Tuschen squatting area, where she described the conditions as uncomfortable and unsuitable for raising her children.

Now, Anisa is grateful for a safe and comfortable home where her family can thrive.

During a special ceremony, the keys to her new home were handed over by the Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Hon. Deodat Indar.

Minister Indar offered words of encouragement to Anisa and her family, commending their resilience and determination despite the challenges they faced.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting citizens in need and reiterated that the government is always ready to listen to and assist those who require help.

Since its inception, the Men on Mission initiative has helped seven families in Region 3 secure new homes, improving their living conditions and providing a better future for those in need.
