Sheriff Group of Companies and Chinese Firms Collaborate to Transform Guyana’s Skyline

In a landmark initiative, the Sheriff Group of Companies is poised to establish a strategic partnership with ARCPLUS GROUP International and East China Architectural Design and Research Institute.

This collaboration is set to revolutionize construction and development in Guyana, marking its inception with the announcement of the “One Guyana High-rise.”

After fruitful discussions in Shenzhen, China, representatives from the Sheriff Group of Companies and ARCPLUS GROUP International, along with its national entity East China Architectural Design and Research Institute (ICARDE), are formalizing a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement.

This partnership will encompass a wide range of full-process construction and consulting services.

Janelle Persaud, the Public Affairs Director of the Sheriff Group of Companies, underscored the significance of this collaboration.

She expressed optimism about the enhanced capabilities provided by ICARDE, stating that it will fortify Sheriff Construction’s ability to successfully undertake projects in alignment with Guyana’s expanding economy.

The “One Guyana High-Rise” project, a flagship endeavor under this partnership, aims not only to reshape the country’s infrastructural development vision but also to introduce high global standards for the first time in Guyana.

Persaud emphasized the project’s goal of meeting international standards in entertainment, retail, hotel space, and luxury residences.

The project is anticipated to have a positive impact on Guyanese society, generating direct and indirect employment opportunities across various sectors.

The formal signing of the framework agreement is scheduled to occur in China in the coming weeks.
