Santos Football Club showcased their prowess in the KFC Elite League with a commanding 6-0 win against Ann’s Grove United over the weekend.
The match was marked by impressive performances and a flurry of goals from Santos players.
Ryan Dowding opened the scoring for Santos in the 9th minute, setting the pace early in the game.
Ian Daniels extended the lead soon after, ensuring Santos went into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
After the break, Andrew Simmons, coming off the bench, injected dynamism into Santos’ offense.
He scored in the 66th minute and went on to secure a brace with goals in the 71st minute, further solidifying Santos’ dominance.
Shem James added to the tally with a goal, while Simmons completed his hat-trick in injury time, sealing a resounding 6-0 victory for Santos and securing all three points.
In the league’s earlier fixture, Guyana Police Force FC demonstrated their strength with a convincing 5-1 win over Buxton United.
Neron Barrow was in stellar form, scoring three goals (10th, 18th, and 88th minutes), with additional goals from Chai Williams (74th minute) and Jermain Junior (84th minute).
The KFC Elite League, sponsored generously, involves each team playing 18 games for substantial monetary rewards, highlighting the competitiveness and stakes involved in each match.
