Seventy-year-old Sandra Hendricks is the newest recipient of a two-bedroom house, thanks to the Men on Mission initiative.

The keys to the newly built home were handed over to Hendricks by Minister of Public Affairs Kwame McCoy on Sunday.

Hendricks, who had acquired land from the government seven years ago, faced numerous challenges, including health issues that hindered her ability to build her home.

The Men on Mission initiative has fulfilled her lifelong dream of homeownership, bringing her considerable joy and relief.

The handover ceremony took place in the Farm community on the East Bank of Demerara.

Hendricks expressed her deep gratitude, highlighting how the initiative has turned what seemed like an unattainable dream into reality.

Minister Kwame McCoy emphasized the significance of the initiative, noting that the house would be cherished by Hendricks due to the struggle and perseverance involved in achieving this milestone.

The Men on Mission initiative remains committed to supporting vulnerable groups and making a positive impact on their lives.
