Rosignol, Marian Academy, Belladrum, and Santa Rosa Secure Semifinal Spots in Courts Optical U-11 Football Tournament

The Courts Optical Pee Wee Under-11 football tournament has reached its semifinal stage, with Rosignol Primary, Marian Academy, Belladrum Primary, and Santa Rosa Primary schools all securing their spots after a thrilling round of quarterfinal matches at the Ministry of Education ground.

In the feature match of the day, Rosignol Primary dominated defending champions St. Pius Primary with a commanding 4-0 victory.

Abdul Kadir played a pivotal role, scoring twice in the 8th and 18th minutes.

Timothy Rouse and Jeremiah McDonald added goals in the 1st and 39th minutes, respectively, to seal the win.

Marian Academy also advanced after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Enterprise Primary.

Joshua Johnson was the standout player, scoring both goals for Marian Academy.

Johnson’s first goal came just a minute into the match, and after Enterprise equalized with a strike from Dontay Kowlessar in the 20th minute, Johnson netted his second in the 29th to give Marian Academy the win.

In the other quarterfinals, Santa Rosa triumphed over West Ruimveldt Primary, while Belladrum secured their place in the semifinals with a win over St. John the Baptist Primary.

The tournament continues with exciting semifinal matchups, as these young footballers showcase their talent.
