The inaugural Rockstone Streetball Classic is gearing up to light up the Pouderoyen Tarmac, West Bank Demerara, tomorrow, as the region’s top street football talent comes together for a thrilling tournament.

The event was officially launched earlier this week at Guyana Brewery’s Providence location, where representatives from the participating teams gathered for a ceremonial kickoff.

Seweon McGarrell, Marketing Manager for Rockstone Tonic Wine, expressed that this tournament marks a major milestone for both the brand and the street football community in Guyana.

He highlighted that Rockstone Tonic Wine is synonymous with boldness, resilience, and authenticity, much like the street football culture that brings together people through energy, competitiveness, and celebration.

The action-packed tournament will run until the grand finale on Friday, December 6, with a cash prize pool totaling $425,000.

The winner will receive $200,000, the runner-up will earn $100,000, the third-place team will take home $75,000, and the fourth-place team will be awarded $50,000.

Mikhail DaSilva, Trade and Marketing Executive at Guyana Brewery, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the development of street football in Guyana and expressed excitement about the future expansion of the event.

The tournament is set to deliver high-energy matches, bringing together the best street football teams to compete for the ultimate prize.
