Construction efforts are currently underway on the Eccles Haags Bosch Road and the Providence Access Road, providing improved infrastructure for commuters.
The Eccles Dump Site Road, commonly known as the Haags Bosch Road, is undergoing construction from Winsor Estate heading westbound towards the East Bank Corridor.
The scope of work includes laying the foundation for a four-lane road, aimed at enhancing connectivity and traffic flow in the area.
Minister of Public Works, Hon. Juan Edghill, highlighted the significance of this project in establishing a crucial connector road to the East Bank thoroughfare.
Additionally, a section of road extending approximately 1.2 kilometers from the Jaguar roundabout heading east will further augment the interconnected network of roadways in the region.
Furthermore, Minister Edghill provided an update on the Providence Access Road, also known as the “red road.”
The project involves widening the entrance to facilitate smoother traffic flow, particularly for vehicles turning left off the East Bank Highway.
This includes expanding the existing bridge at the head of the road, installing necessary pavements, and paving the Red Road itself.
These enhancements are part of the government’s commitment to improving traffic management and increasing connectivity across the region.
These road works align with the government’s broader objective of ensuring greater traffic flow and enhanced connectivity throughout Guyana.
As these projects progress, commuters can anticipate improved infrastructure that will facilitate more efficient travel experiences.
