The Better Hope/La Bonne Intention (LBI) Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) is prioritizing road improvements as a key component of its infrastructural development agenda.

Chairman Zaman Shaw highlighted the importance of upgrading the road network within these villages, addressing the deteriorating conditions that have long been a concern for residents.

In an exclusive interview with NCN News, Shaw emphasized the council’s commitment to enhancing the road infrastructure to ensure safer and more efficient transportation for the communities.

He mentioned that central government has completed upgrades on 76 road networks within the NDC, targeting areas such as Montrose, Better Hope North, LBI, and Success.

These road improvements are nearing completion and promise significant benefits for local residents.

Additionally, Shaw detailed efforts to enhance recreational facilities within the NDC.

Significant investments have been made to bring these facilities up to standard, promoting health and safe activities for families and individuals.

Six out of the ten recreational facilities in the NDC have received substantial attention since 2020, with plans underway to upgrade the remaining four.

The chairman also outlined several upcoming projects aimed at further improving community infrastructure.

These include bolstering the solid waste management system, collaborating with medical teams at local health centers, organizing community outreach programs, and conducting training sessions for food handlers.

Shaw noted that the road improvement initiative and other infrastructural projects represent a significant step forward for the Better Hope/LBI area.

These efforts are aimed at fostering a more connected and prosperous community, reflecting the NDC’s dedication to addressing the needs and concerns of its residents.
