Colin Campbell, also known as Remy, the proprietor of Riddim Up Bartending School in the BVI, has partnered with local businesses to provide a five-day training program in basic bartending.

Recognizing the crucial role bartenders play in shaping visitors’ experiences, this initiative aims to equip local bartenders with advanced skills and expertise.

Campbell’s initiative comes at a time when Guyana is seeking to strengthen its tourism and hospitality sector.

The training program covers mixology techniques, customer service, responsible alcohol service, and bar management, aiming to elevate the standards of bartending across the country.

The comprehensive courses are designed for aspiring bartenders and individuals considering entering the service industry.

Campbell sees bringing this training back to his homeland as a way of giving back and providing job opportunities and second chances to individuals in Guyana.
