Residents of Lodge, Werk-en-Rust, and Wortmanville have commended recent road and drainage upgrades, which were completed as part of a $200 million initiative by the Ministry of Public Works’ Special Projects Unit.

These improvements are expected to enhance daily life for residents, providing safer, smoother access and benefiting local children who now have improved spaces for riding and playing.

During an inspection, residents expressed their satisfaction with the works.

Community members noted the improved drainage and road conditions, emphasizing the positive impact on traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

Public Works Minister Juan Edghill also addressed claims of neglect in South Georgetown, stating that the government is committed to equitable development across all regions.
