The Guyana National Bureau of Standards recently hosted the fourth edition of the National Quality Awards Ceremony at the esteemed Guyana Marriott.
This event was dedicated to acknowledging 18 local businesses that have exhibited an exceptional dedication to upholding standards and quality in their operations.
These awards hold significant value for businesses as they serve as a driving force for them to sustain their competitive advantage.
Moreover, they inspire companies to continually refine their processes, adapt to evolving demands, and surmount new challenges.
Among the distinguished awardees, Massy Distribution was recognized for its outstanding service, while the Massy Gas Group received the prestigious overall manufacturing award.
Sterling Products Limited secured the top accolade for continuous improvement in manufacturing, and GYSBI was honored for its outstanding performance in Occupational Health and Safety within the realms of both manufacturing and service.
Acting Executive Director of the Bureau, Al Fraser, emphasized that the surge in business participation this year underscores their shared commitment to delivering high-quality products, rendering efficient services, and meeting customer demands with utmost precision.
Shannielle Hossein-Outar, Chairperson for the National Standards Council, highlighted that the winners were selected based on comprehensive assessments, audits, and a demonstrated adherence to quality principles.
This year’s ceremony received an added boost from the collaboration between the GNBS and the CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards and Quality.
