RBL Schools U18 Football League: Big Wins for Bartica Secondary & Chase Academy

The Republic Bank Limited Schools U18 Football League kicked off with two thrilling matches on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground.

In the opener, Bartica Secondary School faced off against East Ruimveldt. Bartica’s Billy Smith made an immediate impact, scoring a superb goal in the 8th minute.

East Ruimveldt’s Josiah Norton responded just a minute later with an equalizer.

However, Smith wasn’t done, and he netted two more goals, completing his hat-trick by the 35th minute.

Reizer Reid and Ezekiel Baldeo also contributed with goals in the 50th and 60th minutes, leading Bartica to a dominant 5-1 victory.

In the second match, President’s College went up against defending champions Chase Academy.

The game was one-sided as Chase Academy cruised to a 4-0 win.

Isaiah Ifill opened the scoring in the 12th minute, followed by Shaquan David doubling the lead in the 20th.

Jaden Tasher made it 3-0 in the 25th minute, and Neeiaz Baksh sealed the victory with a goal in the 36th minute.

Additionally, Waramuri secured a 2-1 comeback victory over South Ruimveldt at the CARFESTA Avenue ground.

South Ruimveldt took the lead with a goal from Tyrese Pemberton in the 19th minute, but Waramuri responded with goals from Rondell Peters and Erwin Booker in the 26th and 39th minutes, securing the win.
