North Ruimveldt Ravens showcased their dominance in the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) U-23 Men’s Club Championship, securing a resounding victory against Leonora D-Up Raising Stars.

The match, held at the National Gymnasium, saw the Ravens outclassing their opponents with a final score of 84-36, marking the tournament’s largest win margin to date.

From the outset, the Ravens asserted their dominance, establishing a commanding lead of 29-5 in the first quarter.

Although the Rising Stars showed resilience in the second quarter, narrowing the gap to 14-11, they struggled against the Ravens’ relentless offense.

The third quarter proved challenging for the Rising Stars, who faced limited substitutes, as the Ravens extended their lead with a score of 22-12.

In the final quarter, the Ravens sealed their victory with a dominant performance, outscoring their opponents 19-8.

Atilla Williamson, the Ravens’ captain, emerged as the top scorer with 15 points, supported by Alroy Nurse, who contributed 13 points and seven rebounds.

Shaquan Archer added 13 points to the Rising Stars’ tally.

Reflecting on the match, Ravens’ Head Coach Ryan Stephany acknowledged areas for improvement, citing nerves and the need to build team chemistry.

Meanwhile, Errol Anthony Kandar, Head Coach of the Rising Stars, emphasized the importance of experience and vowed to address defensive weaknesses.
