Public Works Minister Juan Edghill provided an update on the government’s extensive road development initiatives, emphasizing progress across several key projects.

The focus includes the ongoing connection of the Ogle to Eccles highway, a crucial step in enhancing road interconnectivity and alleviating traffic congestion.

Minister Edghill highlighted the simultaneous work being carried out on Haggs Bosch Road in Eccles, which extends to the East Bank Corridor, and the Providence Access Road, also known as Red Road.

These efforts are part of a broader strategy to improve transportation infrastructure.

Additionally, the minister addressed developments on the road network extending from Sand Hills to Bartica and from Goshen to Parika.

Preliminary alignment work has been completed, with paving expected to begin shortly.

Despite some criticism, the minister reaffirmed that the creation of new road networks has notably reduced travel times and improved access to farmlands, ultimately benefiting citizens and commuters.
