Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC), Manniram Prashad, has announced the successful resolution of a backlog of over 300 issues, marking a significant achievement for the commission.
Prashad revealed that within a span of just six months, the commission cleared a backlog of work that had accumulated over two years.
This remarkable feat was accomplished through the diligent efforts of the commissioners, who worked tirelessly to address the pending issues.
As a result of their dedication, there is now no backlog within the commission.
During the recent launch of the commission’s new website, Prashad highlighted several discrepancies found in the operations of the previous commission, which had led to dissatisfaction among stakeholders.
He emphasized that under the current commission’s tenure, not a single decision was challenged, and all decisions were made unanimously.
Prashad underscored the importance of human resources in driving the successful implementation of the 2024 Public Sector Investment Programme.
He explained that the newly launched website would facilitate timely staffing and resource allocation, contributing to the effective execution of the program.
Looking ahead, Prashad expressed his hope for vibrant collaboration between the PSC, government ministries, and regions.
Such collaboration will be essential for addressing challenges and driving positive change across the public service sector.
The successful clearance of the backlog by the Public Service Commission reflects its commitment to efficient governance and service delivery, setting a positive trajectory for the future.
