He revealed that a team from the project visited manufacturers in China for two weeks to ensure the quality of materials.

This proactive approach aims to prevent setbacks and disagreements related to material quality upon arrival in Guyana.

Emphasizing the significance of this quality control measure, Minister Edghill noted that the project’s consultant and the Ministry of Public Works’ projects engineer traveled to China.

Their objective was to visit every installation from which the contractors proposed to procure items, certifying the quality of materials before they are shipped to Guyana.

This meticulous examination of materials at the source in China ensures that the project adheres to high-quality standards, preventing potential delays or disputes later in the construction process.

In conclusion, Minister Edghill reaffirmed the commitment to timely and quality completion of the new Demerara 4-lane High Span Bridge.
