The primary goal was to inform staff and citizens about the intricacies of the Guyana-Venezuela controversy.
Director Amar Chetram stressed the significance of such initiatives, believing that awareness sessions serve not only as educational tools but also as unifying forces.

During the session, a Venezuelan individual, speaking through an interpreter, expressed hope that Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro would adhere to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling, refraining from proceeding with the planned referendum.
The individual conveyed a sense of happiness being in Guyana and emphasized the collective desire for peace.
Simultaneously, at the McKenzie Police Station, Division Ten Commander Supt. Guy Nurse shed light on their efforts to sensitize both ranks and the general public.
The police organized a formation representing the map of Guyana to symbolize solidarity and their commitment to the issue.
Commander Nurse emphasized their ongoing commitment to conducting awareness sessions, aiming to alleviate fears within the community.
