President’s College has achieved a remarkable milestone, celebrating its largest batch of English A passes in the CXC CSEC exams.

This year’s results reflect a significant accomplishment for the institution, with the English A exam being taken by students in grades 10 and 11.

The English Department, led by Head of Department Tomika Jerrick, embraced a challenge set by Education Minister Priya Manickchand to prepare students thoroughly for the exam.

This challenge spurred the department to enhance its efforts, leading to exceptional results: 85 students achieved a Grade 1, 56 earned a Grade 2, 11 received a Grade 3, and 4 obtained a Grade 4.

Overall, the college achieved an impressive pass rate of 96.82%.

Tomika Jerrick highlighted that this success is a testament to the collective efforts of students, parents, teachers, and school staff.

She described the achievement as historic and motivational, setting a new benchmark for future students and underscoring the potential of President’s College to excel academically.

Jerrick also shared some words of encouragement for students, emphasizing the importance of consistency, passion, kindness, adaptability, and continuous learning as key factors for personal and academic growth.
