President Dr. Irfaan Ali inaugurated the Men on Mission Guyana Youth Camp at the Kuru-Kuru Training Centre, which is hosting approximately 300 children.

This marks the second iteration of the camp, designed to foster youth empowerment and discipline.

The camp offers a diverse range of activities aimed at personal development, including sessions with professionals such as doctors and engineers.

Participants will engage in art and skill-building activities.

A notable feature of this year’s camp is the provision of medical services, including eye examinations and spectacles for those in need.

Camp Director Lt. Col. Bhageshwar Murli highlighted the camp’s focus on mentorship, emphasizing that the Men on Mission initiative believes in the transformative power of guidance and positive role models for youth empowerment.

The Youth Empowerment and Mentorship Programme, initially launched in Georgetown and Region 9, will expand to Region 6 with similar initiatives planned for New Amsterdam, Central Corentyne, and Upper Corentyne.
