In a swift response to the devastation caused by a storm in Karasabai, Region Nine, President Irfaan Ali, leading the “Men on Mission” team, has initiated the rebuilding of the affected village.

The storm, which struck the area last week, left 22 homes destroyed and many families without shelter.

Upon arriving in the village, President Ali emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the lives of every citizen.

The rebuilding efforts began immediately with the completion of the first foundation, and the team aims to complete the next phase of construction even more efficiently.

The Civil Defence Commission (CDC), headed by retired Colonel Nazrul Hussain, is working in collaboration with the government to build more resilient homes.

Hussain highlighted the importance of ensuring that the new structures are stronger and better suited to withstand future storms, with a focus on building resilience in the community and the country as a whole.

Residents of Karasabai have expressed their gratitude for the swift and tangible support provided by the government.

Among the affected families, there was a strong sense of appreciation for the presence of President Ali and his team, as well as their hands-on approach to the rebuilding process.

The government has pledged to continue the efforts over the coming days, with the goal of restoring homes and livelihoods in Karasabai.
