President Irfaan Ali Commemorates Krishna Janmashtami with ISKCON Devotees

President Dr. Irfaan Ali participated in the celebration of Krishna Janmashtami hosted by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) at the Crane ISKCON temple, located on the West Coast Demerara. The event, held on Thursday evening, brought together devotees and community members in a joyous commemoration of Lord Krishna’s birth.

During the festivities, President Ali emphasized the significance of Janmashtami, highlighting its call to embody the qualities and teachings of Krishna in our lives. He envisioned a world where goodness triumphs over adversity, and where individuals serve one another for the collective welfare.

President Ali expressed that the observance radiates values such as joy, hope, justice, love, and knowledge, all of which he considers essential for the construction of a robust and prosperous nation.

He further noted, “Janmashtami stands as a vivid reminder of Krishna’s purpose to usher in a new era by dispelling darkness, eradicating ignorance and banishing fear from the hearts of humanity.”
