As Guyana celebrates its 55th Republic Anniversary, President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali has urged citizens to embrace unity, national pride, and collective determination.
In his address to the nation, Dr. Ali emphasized the importance of working together to overcome challenges and shape a prosperous and harmonious future for the country.
He highlighted that Guyana stands strong and secure, with a bright future ahead. The President called on citizens to support one another, strengthen bonds, and reflect on the nation’s progress and blessings.
He reminded the public that challenges should be met with resilience, and the collective spirit of the people should continue driving the country forward.
Dr. Ali further encouraged Guyanese to take a moment of gratitude during the celebrations, offering thanks for the nation’s achievements and the blessings of peace and prosperity.
On February 23, 1970, Guyana became a republic, severing its colonial ties and taking full control of its development.
The President’s address serves as a reminder of the country’s transformative journey and the continued importance of unity in achieving its future goals.
