President Irfaan Ali has commended the Mashramani 2025 Float Parade, describing it as a remarkable display of creativity, national pride, and unity.

As Guyana marked its 55th anniversary as a Republic, the President highlighted the role of culture in shaping the nation’s identity and future development.

During the celebrations, President Ali praised the designers for their innovation and craftsmanship in telling the story of Guyana’s progress through their floats.

He noted the significant improvements in the quality and artistic expression of the parade, attributing it to the increased investment in the cultural sector over the past two years.

The President also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering artistic and cultural growth, announcing plans for the establishment of the country’s first cultural market and a major museum dedicated to the arts.

These initiatives, he said, will serve as platforms to showcase Guyana’s rich heritage and creative talents.

As he walked among the crowds, President Ali expressed his pride in seeing Guyanese from all walks of life coming together to celebrate.

He described the event as a symbol of national unity and optimism, reinforcing Guyana’s trajectory towards cultural and economic transformation.

Mashramani 2025, held under the theme “Expressing Our Culture and Creativity as One Guyana,” reflected the nation’s spirit of togetherness and its commitment to preserving and promoting its cultural identity.
