President Ali Engages East Bank Demerara Residents Ahead of Budget 2025

President Dr. Irfaan Ali continued his community engagement tour yesterday, visiting residents of Friendship and Garden of Eden, located along the East Bank of Demerara.

The president’s visits are part of a series of consultations with citizens as his government prepares for the 2025 national budget.

During his interactions with the residents, President Ali emphasized the importance of these engagements in shaping the priorities for both local and national development.

He reiterated his government’s commitment to building in collaboration with the people, ensuring that community needs are met while fostering growth and progress.

In Garden of Eden, the President assured residents that his administration is focused on working alongside them to address their concerns and further enhance their living conditions.

He highlighted that the government is committed to investing in both people and communities as a means of fostering sustainable development.

Speaking to residents of Friendship, President Ali underscored that the 2025 budget will place significant emphasis on community development.

He emphasized his vision of building community assets and generating wealth for local populations, which will contribute to the overall growth of the country.

This marks part of a broader series of engagements by the President, which also included meetings in several East Coast Demerara communities last week, such as Melanie Damishana, Foulis, and Dazzel Housing Scheme.

The engagements will continue in Silverhill and Timehri today, with further meetings scheduled in Laluni and Sara Johanna on January 16.

These consultations are a key component of the government’s efforts to ensure that the upcoming budget aligns with the needs and aspirations of the people.
