President Ali Commits to Continuing Development in Region Ten

In a community meeting held in Victory Valley, Region Ten, President Dr. Irfaan Ali assured residents that the People’s Progressive Party/Civic Government would continue its development efforts in the region.

He urged the residents to disregard detractors and focus on the collective goal of “One Guyana,” emphasizing the government’s commitment to long-term sustainability and community-driven progress.

President Ali reiterated that the government’s actions are centered around trust, commitment, and community engagement.

He called on the Lindeners to support the People’s Progressive Party/Civic in the upcoming General and Regional Elections, stating, “All we seek is not power, we seek your support so that we can win here and get the political responsibility to show what good, committed, selfless political leadership can further bring to your region.”

The President assured the residents that investments in the region, including the expansion of the bauxite industry, are focused on creating long-term wealth and fostering broader economic growth.

He also highlighted Linden’s potential as a key location for major tourism investments.

In a demonstration of commitment to local development, President Ali announced the construction of a boxing gym in collaboration with Men on a Mission, with completion expected before mid-year.

Additionally, he confirmed plans to build a community center and training facility for young people in the area, with labor and materials sourced from Victory Valley itself.

Further investments include the completion of the local basketball court and an upgrade to the Minister Todd’s Valley Basketball Tournament, transforming it into an inter-ward competition.

President Ali’s continued support for Region Ten highlights the government’s dedication to sustainable development and long-term prosperity for the people of Linden.
