President Irfaan Ali has unveiled an ambitious training program aimed at preparing 2,500 young individuals for high-paying tech jobs.
This initiative is a significant step in the government’s broader strategy to enhance workforce diversity through innovation and technology.
During the announcement, President Ali emphasized that the program will forge partnerships with industry giants like Microsoft and Google, providing participants with invaluable exposure and opportunities in the global tech sector.
In addition to the tech training program, the President revealed plans to create 1,000 employment opportunities at call centers currently under construction in Regions Two and Six.
Investors have already indicated their commitment to initiating recruitment drives before the close of the year, with a target to have operations fully operational by the first quarter of 2024.
The PPP Administration has already surpassed its manifesto commitment of generating 50,000 jobs by 2025, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to creating additional opportunities across various sectors.
