President Ali Addresses Security and Housing Concerns in Bartica

President Dr. Irfaan Ali took proactive steps to address pressing issues in Bartica, Region Seven, engaging with residents on matters concerning security and housing.

During his interaction with residents near the Bartica Stelling, President Ali committed to several interventions aimed at enhancing the community’s livelihoods.

One of the key issues raised was security, particularly for mining camps located on the outskirts of the town. President Ali encouraged miners to establish networks and collaborate to address security concerns effectively.

He also pledged to facilitate firearm licenses for miners and security companies while ensuring engagement between the Commissioner of Police and the mining community to address security challenges comprehensively.

In response to concerns about housing and land allocation outside the central community, President Ali highlighted ongoing efforts in housing and land development, focusing on available public lands.

He emphasized the expansion of infrastructure to facilitate easier access to these lands for housing development, underscoring the government’s commitment to expanding housing opportunities in Bartica.

Additionally, President Ali visited the Potaro Primary School, where he engaged with students and teachers, reaffirming the government’s dedication to education and community development.

Accompanying President Ali were Minister within the Local Government Ministry, Anand Persaud, and Labour Minister, Joseph Hamilton, among other officials, demonstrating a collaborative approach to addressing Bartica’s needs.

President Ali’s engagement with Bartica residents underscores his commitment to responsive governance and proactive measures to address community concerns, ensuring inclusive development and improved quality of life for all residents.
