President Dr. Irfaan Ali recently conducted an outreach to several communities in Region Five, reaffirming his commitment to addressing various concerns and fostering improvements in the region.
During the outreach, residents had the opportunity to voice issues such as the urgent need for better roads, streetlight maintenance, improved drainage and irrigation, and housing-related matters.
The concerns raised by residents included streets constructed with challenging clay surfaces, non-functional road lights persisting for over three years, a demand for additional land-clearing machinery, and expressions of appreciation for the ongoing development initiatives.
In response, President Ali assured residents that his government is dedicated to enhancing the lives of citizens in the region.
He promptly addressed some concerns on the spot and instructed heads of regional departments to resolve others within specific timelines.
President Ali took particular note of outstanding transport issues, directing the Ministry of Housing to complete them within six weeks.
He emphasized the urgency of resolving these long-standing issues, especially for those who have been waiting for transport services for several years.
The outreach covered communities such as Ithaca, Bath Settlement, and Bush Lot village, reflecting the President’s commitment to grassroots governance and his proactive approach to resolving local issues for the overall development of the region.
