Preparatory activities have commenced for the upcoming triennial Delegates Congress of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), scheduled for May of this year.
General Secretary of the PPP/C, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, provided this update during a recent press conference.
Dr. Jagdeo announced that circulars have been distributed to invite delegates to attend the congress.
This year, the congress will be held in Region Four, and Dr. Jagdeo disclosed the establishment of a separate committee for Region Four tasked with organizing the logistics for the event.
He further elaborated that several working groups have been formed to oversee various aspects of the congress, indicating that progress is being made in the preparations.
The previous PPP congress was held in 2016 at Cotton Field on the Essequibo Coast in Region Two.
