CARICOM’s Assistant Secretary-General of Economics, Integration, Innovation and Development, Joseph Cox (DPI)

With just a few weeks left until the highly anticipated Agri Investment Forum and Expo, the organizing committee is reporting significant progress in preparations.

Key aspects such as accommodation arrangements, security measures, and the facility layout are well underway.

Over 100 businesses, including NGOs, small enterprises, and regional organizations, are scheduled to participate.

Caricom’s Assistant Secretary General, Joseph Cox, has revealed that this year’s event will spotlight even more innovative agricultural technologies, showcasing the sector’s ongoing development in the region.

Gillian Smith, the FAO country representative, highlighted that a dedicated FAO booth will focus on food systems and productivity to enhance nutrition, reduce food imports, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers.

This year’s expo, taking place from October 20th to 22nd, marks the third installment in the Caribbean and the second hosted in Guyana.
