In the latest matches of the KFC Elite League season 6, both Police FC and Den Amstel FC emerged victorious, showcasing their dominance on the field.
Firstly, the Guyana Police Force FC displayed their prowess against Santos FC, securing a 2-0 victory at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center.
Nicholas MacArthur opened the scoring for Police FC in the 17th minute, followed by Neron Barrow doubling the advantage in the 35th minute.
Despite both teams showing promising attempts in the second half, the score remained unchanged, with GPF claiming the win.
In the opening clash of the night, Den Amstel FC dominated Monedderlust with a commanding 3-0 victory.
Andrae Hector netted the lone first-half goal for Den Amstel, while Anthony Benn sealed the victory with two late second-half goals in the 68th and 78th minutes.
Monedderlust showed resilience in the first half but ultimately couldn’t withstand Den Amstel’s relentless attack.
Looking ahead, the league is set to continue with another doubleheader, featuring Buxton United FC against Fruta Conquerors and Slingerz facing Ann’s Grove United.
With the top ten clubs vying for the first-place cash prize of G$2,000,000 and other cash rewards for the top four positions, the competition remains intense.
