Quarrying company Pacific Leopard International Trading Incorporated spearheaded a commendable medical outreach initiative in Rockstone over the weekend.
More than 100 villagers from the Rockstone community benefited from a range of free health services offered during the outreach.
Tyler Suchit, representing CSR from Pacific Leopard Trading, emphasized that this endeavor is a means for the company to give back to the community, especially during the celebration of their heritage in Amerindian Heritage month.
The collaborative effort involved Metallica Guyana, doctors from the 18th Chinese Medical Brigade, and Huaqui Health Services, providing the villagers with over twenty essential health services. These services encompassed blood testing, ophthalmology, gynecology, and pediatric care.
Rockstone councilor, Deino Williams, expressed her gratitude, noting that this outreach brought an unprecedented number of specialists to the community, a development warmly welcomed by all.
Beneficiaries, including Ms. Williams and Rance Allicock, praised the initiative for its particular benefit to the elderly and indigenous members of the community.
The success of this medical outreach has inspired Pacific Leopard to commit to making it a continuous initiative, ensuring sustained access to vital healthcare services for the residents of Rockstone.
