In a momentous event, over 30 students from the Art Williams & Harry Wendt Aeronautical Engineering School marked their graduation today.
Guyana’s aviation industry plays a pivotal role in the country’s development, with a primary focus on ensuring the safety and security of air transport for the efficient movement of passengers and goods.
Director General of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority, Egbert Fields, emphasized this point as he addressed the graduates at the national cultural center during the graduation ceremony.
Speaking about the importance of the aviation sector, Fields stressed that in a rapidly developing technological landscape, young professionals must seize opportunities to enhance their skills.
He encouraged the graduates by stating that their journey is just the beginning, with much more ahead in the dynamic aviation industry.
In addition to addressing the graduates, Fields also directed a charge towards the parents, urging them to assist their children in maintaining discipline and avoiding complacency in their careers.
This graduating cohort represents the last batch for the class of 2020, marking the conclusion of their academic journey at the Aeronautical Engineering School.
As these graduates step into the aviation industry, they carry not only the knowledge gained from their education but also the responsibility of contributing to the ongoing development and safety of air transport in Guyana.
