Orson Ferguson demonstrated exceptional skill and patience to secure victory in the inaugural GBTI Mastercard Golf Classic Tournament, held at the Lusignan Golf Club on Sunday.
Ferguson, with a handicap of 28, emerged as the first champion of the 2025 tournament, finishing with an impressive 43 points.
His consistent performance throughout the day helped him top the leaderboard.
Reflecting on his win, Ferguson attributed his success to hard work and preparation, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to compete in such a prestigious event.
Rakesh Harry secured third place with 38 points, aided by his handicap of 10, while Arnold Deo, also with 38 points and a handicap of 19, finished in second.
Harry further distinguished himself by winning the Longest Drive competition, and Joseph Szeplake took home the Nearest to the Pin award.
GBTI’s Marketing Manager, Pernell Cummings, commended the players for their dedication and praised the bank’s role in supporting the event.
