ONE Communications Expands Fibre Network, Enhances Services Across Guyana

ONE Communications, formerly known as GTT, has announced a significant expansion of its fibre network, now reaching 159,000 homes and businesses across Guyana.

The company made the announcement during a recent event marking the official launch of its new unified brand.

Chief Commercial Officer Kerchelle Charles and Chief Operations Officer Eshwar Thakurdin highlighted the company’s recent achievements in expanding its fibre services.

In 2023, ONE Communications successfully increased its fibre network coverage to 150,000 homes and businesses.

This year, the reach has grown to 159,000, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to improving digital connectivity across the nation.

The expansion includes a collaboration with WANSAT to offer satellite internet services in remote areas where fibre connections are not feasible.

This partnership aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure that even the most isolated communities have access to reliable internet.

Additionally, ONE Communications has strengthened its Mobile Money Wallet, MMG, by partnering with a leading Guyanese e-commerce platform.

This move underscores the company’s dedication to integrating innovative solutions that enhance customer convenience and financial services.

Overall, ONE Communications’ recent developments in fibre network expansion and strategic business partnerships demonstrate its commitment to advancing digital and financial services throughout Guyana.
