The recently concluded National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) for this year saw a remarkable achievement with the highest pupil turnout since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand, shared this encouraging news, indicating a significant step forward for education amid challenging times.
Minister Manickchand disclosed that out of the 15,488 Grade Six Pupils registered for the NGSA, only three percent were absent from the examination.

The minister expressed optimism that the final absentee figures might even be lower, considering this is preliminary information received by her office.
Highlighting the importance of timely communication, Minister Manickchand assured that NGSA results would be announced on or before July 5th of this year.

Furthermore, the Minister confirmed that the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has initiated the marking process for the NGSA papers.
