The Edward Mohammed Pool, specifically designed for children with special education needs, was officially inaugurated today by Minister of Education Priya Manickchand.
This new facility, located at the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) in Turkeyen, was made possible through the generous contributions of Mohammed’s Bookstore Associates Limited from Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister Manickchand expressed her gratitude for this initiative, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring that children with special education needs can develop into productive adults.
She highlighted the importance of such facilities in promoting inclusivity and accessibility for all children.
The Minister announced plans to replicate similar facilities in Regions Three, Five, and Ten, aiming to expand opportunities for children with special education needs across the country.
The Edward Mohammed Pool is seen as a significant step toward enhancing the quality of education and support for these children, enabling them to gain confidence and skills that will assist them in their daily lives.
