Residents of Region One will now have improved access to healthcare services with the opening of three new health posts in the villages of Kamwatta, Arukamai, and Imbotero.
Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony inaugurated the facilities, marking a significant step in expanding healthcare across the region.
During the commissioning of the Kamwatta Health Post, Dr. Anthony urged local residents to take pride in the new facility and maintain it to ensure its longevity.
He highlighted the investment of more than 14 million dollars into the Kamwatta health facility, emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare infrastructure.
Minister Anthony also noted the rapid transformation underway in the healthcare sector, praising the PPP/C administration’s ongoing efforts to improve services at both regional and village levels.
The minister stressed that this transformation is tangible and directly benefiting communities.
The reconstruction of the health posts involved significant investments: 14 million dollars for Kamwatta, 15 million dollars for Arukamai, and 16 million dollars for Imbotero.
Together, these facilities will provide free medical services to 1,039 residents of the respective communities, ensuring better access to healthcare and contributing to the region’s overall development.
