New Haslington Nursery School Commissioned

The Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand, officially inaugurated the newly constructed Haslington Nursery School, located in Region Four on the East Coast of Demerara.

The construction of the state-of-the-art school, which now accommodates 60 students, cost a total of twenty-eight million, one hundred and twenty-nine thousand dollars.

Minister Manickchand emphasized the government’s commitment to investing in the education of children nationwide. She affirmed that this ongoing effort aims to nurture capable citizens who will contribute to Guyana’s progress.

Assistant Chief Education Officer, Mr. Devendra Persaud, highlighted that the new facility aligns with the government’s dedication to enhancing educational infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of providing children with the best learning environments, which, in turn, reduces dropout rates.

Regional Education Officer, Mr. Adrian Elgin, expressed gratitude on behalf of the region and the community of Haslington for the government’s provision of a brand-new nursery school.

The Haslington Nursery School stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to fostering quality education for Guyana’s youth.
