New Champions Crowned at Kares CrossFit Caribbean Championship

Dillon Mahadeo, a multi-time holder of the Kares CrossFit Caribbean championship, has been dethroned by Englishman George Dutton in the men’s RX division of the competition held at the National Park Tarmac.

The two-day tournament, held over the weekend, witnessed some of the fittest athletes from both regional and international backgrounds pushing themselves to the limit in various challenges.

In the men’s event, Dillon Mahadeo aimed to defend his title on home turf but had to settle for third place with a final score of 450.

George Dutton emerged victorious with a score of 470, showcasing strong performances in the Fire-Drill section, Inverted Flame challenge, and the Greater Heights task.

On the women’s side, 2023 winner Ava Zalman from Suriname aimed to reclaim her title but was bested by Bryleigh Hansen from the United States, who scored a total of 485 points.

Zalman secured second place with 470 points, followed by Heather Hudson from the USA in third place and Guyanese athlete Delice Adonis in fourth.

In the under 21 category, Haresh Rameshwar emerged as the top performer with 480 points, demonstrating exceptional skill and athleticism.

As the dust settles on another intense competition, new champions have been crowned, highlighting the competitive spirit and dedication of CrossFit athletes from around the world.
