During a cabinet outreach meeting in Linden, Minister of Education Priya Manickchand made a significant announcement regarding the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School.
The education minister addressed residents in the Speightland Community, emphasizing the purpose of the visit in connecting with the people and understanding their concerns.
Responding to a concern raised by a parent regarding the condition of classrooms at the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School, Minister Manickchand revealed plans for the construction of a new building for the secondary school.
She assured the community that the project is already in progress and soon they will have a brand new school facility.
Currently accommodating seven hundred and sixty-two students spanning from forms 1 to 6, the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School plays a vital role in the education of Linden’s youth.
Residents also brought forward other pressing issues, including student transportation, delays in textbook deliveries, and community-related matters.
Minister Manickchand reassured the residents that each concern raised will be thoroughly addressed, with prompt feedback provided.
