New Bridge at Robb Street and Avenue of the Republic Nearing Completion

The construction of a new bridge at Robb Street and Avenue of the Republic is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed soon.

The replacement project commenced two weeks ago in response to reports from citizens regarding the deteriorating condition of the previous bridge.

The collapsed bridge is being replaced with a pre-cast, reinforced concrete structure, with an estimated cost of $26 million.

Once completed, the new bridge will have the capacity to accommodate heavy traffic flow in the area.

Public Works Minister Juan Edghill provided an update on the ongoing construction, expressing confidence that the bridge will be ready before the Christmas rush.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution and follow directional signage when navigating the area.
