A ceremony held at the school celebrated this significant milestone, highlighting its pivotal role in vocational education within the region.
Regional Education Officer Sattish Udit praised the school’s dedication to vocational training, emphasizing that the recognition by CXC underscores its commitment to excellence.
He commended the school’s leadership and staff for their visionary approach in equipping students with practical and marketable skills essential for today’s workforce demands.
Principal Sabereena Supaul acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Regional Democratic Council, the Department of Education, and the trainers in achieving this accolade.
She expressed pride in the school’s achievement, noting that it positions New Amsterdam Secondary School at the forefront of vocational education in Guyana.
