As the Easter season unfolds, the management and staff of the National Communications Network (NCN) marked the occasion with a vibrant observance held at their home base earlier in the day.
The festivities commenced with heartfelt renditions of spiritual songs, including the stirring words, “Wash me in your cleansing blood, now all I know is your forgiveness and embrace, worthy is the lamb seated on the throne,” performed by NCN staff member Simeon Raywaram.
Diverse performances filled the NCN compound, captivating attendees with dance, songs, a hat show, and spoken word presentations, showcasing the abundant talent within the NCN family.
Acting CEO Neaz Subhan underscored the significance of the Easter observance to the company and its staff, emphasizing the cultural and traditional importance of the season to Guyanese people.
He reminisced about cherished Easter memories from his childhood, including kite making and the enjoyment of gamma cherry, a local delicacy.
Additionally, gospel artist Hadassah Queen delivered a soul-stirring performance, sharing the uplifting message, “And I know my redeemer lives,” with attendees.
NCN staff member Rev. Devon Roberts took the opportunity to narrate the Easter story, emphasizing its profound significance to Christians worldwide.
He highlighted the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the ultimate victory over death, symbolizing hope and redemption.
The event reached its culmination with a vibrant showcase of hats, adding a touch of elegance and style to the festive celebration.
