Agriculture Minister, Zulfikar Mustapha has urged the Islamic community to practice the qualities of obedience and willingness daily.
The Minister was among those celebrating Eid-ul-Adha at the Queenstown Masjid on Thursday, as he made the call for Muslims to use the qualities and teachings of Eid-ul-Adha to inspire the world and build communities.
In addition, the Director of Education at the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG), Shaikh Moeen-ul-Hack explained that the five compulsory prayers Muslims recite remind them to be grateful to God Almighty.
Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is the second and the larger of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam. It is a tradition passed on to the community from its Prophet of Abraham.
