Muneshwers Limited Sets Sights on Hiring Nearly 50 Berbicians at Region Six Job Fair

Scores of eager Berbicians gathered at the University of Guyana Tain Campus, hoping to secure one of the numerous job opportunities offered by Muneshwers Limited. The company hosted a job fair, seeking individuals to fill various roles including truck drivers, haulers, welders, fabricators, engineers, managers, supervisors, and other positions.

Executive Director Robin Muneshwar revealed that the company has over 400 vacancies, reflecting its diverse operations spanning hardware stores, shipping, and joint ventures such as cranes Guyana, Paragon trucking company, and Guyana Barge Solutions. He also emphasized that accommodations for employees, especially those from outlying areas, are being considered.

Muneshwar stated, “This being the first outreach, the idea is to get an idea of the scope and if it’s worthwhile to invest in these on a bigger scale. If it turns out that we have 50-60 positions that Berbicians can fill, then obviously we have to invest in large-scale accommodation.”

Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh, who visited the job fair, lauded the initiative for its role in creating an environment conducive to generating high-quality jobs for Guyanese citizens. He emphasized the government’s commitment to facilitating the creation and fulfillment of such positions, highlighting their policy importance.

Dr. Singh further revealed that the Board of Industrial Training is currently overseeing the training of over 220 Berbicians in heavy-duty equipment operation and other relevant areas.

The job fair not only provided an avenue for job seekers but also underscored Muneshwers Limited’s commitment to bolstering employment opportunities in the region.
