Approximately 2,000 residents of the Moruca Sub District in Region One have received cash grants aimed at boosting small business growth and fostering economic development.
This initiative, part of the Local Government Ministry’s regional economic transformation efforts, is intended to help recipients start or expand their businesses.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the financial support, stating that it would help them expand their ventures, ranging from small retail shops to gas sales.
During the two-day visit to Moruca, Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo, along with several government officials, oversaw the grant disbursement.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to regional development and small business investment.
