Monedderlust FC Secures Vital Victory in KFC Elite League Round Two Clash

In a thrilling encounter at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center, Monedderlust FC clinched a crucial win against Buxton United during Round Two of the KFC Elite League.

Monedderlust FC’s Atlyn Brown emerged as the hero for his team, netting a brace to secure a 2-1 victory over Daniel Talbot’s Buxton United Squad.

Brown struck early in the first half, finding the back of the net in the 6th and 26th minutes, giving his side a comfortable lead.

Despite a late surge from Buxton United, with Talbot scoring in the 87th minute, Monedderlust FC managed to hold on to their advantage and claim the much-needed win.

Meanwhile, the clash between Den Amstel and Ann’s Grove ended in a draw after a hard-fought battle.

Kemroy Alfred opened the scoring for Ann’s Grove in the 18th minute, but Akeem Dublin’s equalizer for Den Amstel in the 47th minute shifted the momentum.

Anthony Benn added to Den Amstel’s lead in the 76th minute, only for Alfred to strike again in the dying moments, ensuring a 2-2 draw.

Looking ahead, the league action continues on Saturday, June 1st, with Fruta Conquerors facing Western Tigers and Police squaring off against Santos.

The KFC Elite League promises more excitement and intense competition as teams vie for supremacy on the football field.
